Just returned from an overnight boat trip around the breathtaking Halong Bay. It was a harrowing three hour drive from Hanoi - the chaos on the highway comes in a near second to the streets of the capital - but it was worth it. Unfortunately we didn't have the best weather, but it was much better than what these photos may lead you to believe.

Have to run. We are headed to the train station in Hanoi now to catch the overnight Reunification Express train to Danang.
